Dates for 2006 Whitewater Hall of Fame Induction Festivities Announced (pdf)

McHenry, MD June 12, 2006.

The dates of October 20 and 21 are now set for the 2006 International Whitewater Hall of Fame Induction Festivities. The induction ceremony will take place at the WISP in McHenry, Maryland, on Friday October 20. Festivities will continue through Saturday October 21 and include a sneak preview of the one-of-a-kind re-circulating whitewater course, slated to officially open in 2007.

A party will be held for the whitewater community at facilities adjacent to the whitewater course on Marsh Mountain. All are invited to attend. Check our new website, www.iwhof.com, over the coming months for updates to our party plans.

About IWHOF and ASCI

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame and Museum, being constructed as part of ASCI's Adventure Sports Center, recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant accomplishments in and contributions to whitewater related activities. The history, development and major achievements made in these activities will be depicted through displays of related equipment, art, artifacts, mementos, etc. Interactive and virtual components will further enhance the museum experience.

ASCI is a non-profit organization with a mission to create an International Adventure Sports Center that is recognized as a focal point in the emerging and expanding adventures sports industry. The Center, located in McHenry, Maryland, works to promote, educate, and facilitate participation in a wide range of adventure-based recreational activities and competitions.
