All American Whitewater Festival

ASCI-Uncle-SamAll-American Whitewater Festival

May 28-31 (Memorial Day Weekend)

A Celebration of Whitewater Recreation in Honor of American Veterans: Kick off the summer season of whitewater rafting and kayaking at the Adventure Sports Center International with an event to celebrate America’s veterans. Led by the veteran athletes of Team River Runner (an organization that teaches injured veterans how to ‘heal through whitewater boating’), join the Whitewater Parade and Figurehead Contest (where home-made figureheads are attached to the bow of rafts and floated down the whitewater course), get wet and paddle for prizes in the Veteran’s Race, or take a guided rafting trip down the world’s only mountaintop rafting park. Whitewater demonstrations all Saturday – watch everything from freestyle kayaking to ‘Mattress Surfing.’ Kayak Club Competition on Sunday. Memorial Day Paddling is open to all and 10% of rafting proceeds go to Team River Runner.
